The Samdhana Institute works to:

Womankind Worldwide is a global women’s rights organisation working in solidarity and equal partnership with women’s rights organisations and movements to transform the lives of women.

Our vision is of a just world where the rights of all women are respected, valued and realised.

HEKS champions the cause of a more humane and just world and a life in dignity. Internationally, HEKS/EPER focuses on rural community development, humanitarian aid and inter-church cooperation. 

Established in 1998, the Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies promotes an interdisciplinary approach to area studies in order to better understand the world’s diverse regions. The school aims to train specialists in Asian and African area studies, who have a global perspective, but also retain a detailed understanding of localities.

The Asia Foundation improves lives, expands opportunities, and helps societies flourish across a dynamic and developing Asia. We work with innovative leaders and communities to build effective institutions and advance pathbreaking reforms. Together with our partners, we are committed to Asia’s continued development as a peaceful, just, and thriving region of the world.

CONJUNTURA AUSTRAL é uma publicação Trimestral, em formato digital, vinculada ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos Estratégicos Internacionais (PPGEEI) da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). A Revista publica trabalhos de relações internacionais com foco nos países que integram o Hemisfério Sul, tendo como área geográfica de abrangência as relações internacionais da África, Ásia e América Latina, na perspectiva dos grandes temas da agenda de segurança, diplomacia e desenvolvimento.

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) is an independent, non-governmental body, which seeks to promote greater awareness and realisation of human rights in the Asian region, and to mobilise Asian and international public opinion to obtain relief and redress for the victims of human rights violations. It was founded in 1986 by a prominent group of jurists and human rights activists in Asia and serves to promote civil and political rights, as well as economic, social and cultural rights.

YCAR is a community of York University researchers who are committed to analyzing the changing historical and contemporary dynamics of societies in Asia, understanding Asia’s place in the world, and studying the experiences of Asian communities in Canada and around the globe. Our inter-disciplinary membership includes faculty, students and other research associates from across the social sciences, humanities, health, education, creative/performing arts, law and business.

Missão

O Instituto Tricontinental de Pesquisa Social é uma instituição internacional, orientada pelos movimentos populares, focada em estimular o debate intelectual para o serviço das aspirações do povo.

O significado do Tricontinental:

APWLD developed from dialogues among Asia Pacific women lawyers, social scientists and activists, which began at the 1985 Third World Forum on Women, held in Nairobi, Kenya. The women participating in the dialogues recognised that while law is used as an instrument of state control over resources, rights and even women’s bodies, it can also be used to help effect political and socio-economic changes in our societies.

Meridia was founded in 2015 (then called Landmapp) with the intent to provide affordable land documentation to the people who need it the most, families living off land in places like Ghana and Indonesia. These families are smallholder farmers, the very ones producing the worlds food, such as rice, coffee, cocoa, palm oil and team.

The Asia Forest Network is dedicated to supporting the role of communities in protection and sustainable use of Asia's forests. AFN is comprised of a coalition of planners, policy makers, government foresters, scientists, researchers, and NGOs. Since its founding in 1987, AFN has become affiliated with over thirty institutions and 700 individuals from Asia, Europe, United States, Africa, South America, and Canada.
