Advocacy has a broad meaning: it means pushing for some kind of change in society. It includes trying to persuade people to change their behaviour, pressing companies to change their activities or rules, or persuading the government to change its policies and laws. (p.123)

CAFO

  La CAFO s'est constituée en ONG en mars 1992. Elle regroupe aujourd'hui la majorité des associations féminines maliennes, plus de 2222 organismes, et possède des cellules et des représentantes dans dix quartiers de la capitale et des bureaux décentralisés dans les autres régions du pays. Le nombre de membres augmente chaque année, car de plus en plus, les associations présentes au niveau local viennent se faire enregistrer.
