The structure and the spatio-temporal dynamics of the mixed beech–silver fir–Norway spruce old-growth forest of Biogradska Gora (Montenegro) have been analysed at different spatial scales: at the landscape scale, using a high-resolution SPOT5 satellite image and at the stand level with an intensive field survey.

Analysis of collected data from 2011, in structure of used agricultural land in Serbia shows that dominated plough land and gardens and meadows and pastures, until in smaller percentage are orchards and vineyards.

The Woodfuel Integrated Supply and Demand Overview Mapping (WISDOM) in Serbia form part of a series of initiatives undertaken by FAO to promote strategic wood energy planning and policy formulation. As in many countries all over the globe the wood energy sector suffers from a widespread lack of recognition in national planning contexts, especially in forest and energy policies.

Slovenia joined the Organization in 1993. Since then, cooperation has involved a variety of areas concerning sustainable agriculture and rural development. Today, responsible and sustainable management of fishery and forestry resources are major areas of FAO assistance. Slovenia also plays an active role in supporting technical cooperation and humanitarian assistance in and beyond the region.
