    This Act requires the amounts specified in Schedule 1 to payable as stamp duties in respect of the matters stated respectively in relation to them. An instrument relating to the creation or transfer of an estate or interest in land, submitted to the Commissioner for assessment of the chargeable stamp duty, shall be accompanied with a statement in the form set out in the Schedule 2. (2) The statement shall be signed by the grantee, transferee or by a person authorised in writing to do so by the grantee or transferee.

    Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

    This Act amends the Town and Country Planning Act, 1976 principally by adding various new provisions on authorization of development. The new provisions set out the procedures of authorization, grants regulation-making powers to the Minister in respect of development, defines a material change in in purposes for which a building is used, require the Public Service Commission to appoint building inspectors to assist the Physical Planner to enforce the building regulations, and provide for the approval of development plans.

    The purpose of this Act is to provide for matters necessary for planning projects for improving residential environments, expanding infrastructure and restoring urban functions in urban areas that lag behind, spanning a wide area, and promoting them systematically and efficiently in order to seek balanced urban development and contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens. In particular, article 17 deals with formation of Consultative Council on Projects and article 34 with Urban Renewal Committees. The text consists of 37 articles.

    This Proclamation grants the power to specified local public bodies to expropriate rural or urban landholdings for public purpose where it believes that it should be used for a better development project to be carried out by public entities, private investors, cooperative societies or other organs, or where such expropriation has been decided by the appropriate higher regional or federal government organ for the same purpose. The Proclamation sets out the procedure of expropriation and provides with respect to compensation (which shall be paid in advance) and appeals.

    This Act vests any interest in land remaining unclaimed since the coming into force of the Land Adjudication Act, and which by the provisions of section 17(1) of that Act were deemed to be Crown Land, shall, if not claimed by 31 December, 2020, in the Crown. Any person who claims any right or any interest in land which has not already been claimed by that person under the Land Adjudication Act, shall, if he or she does not claim his or her right or interest in that land within one year from the coming into force of this Act, forfeit such right and the land shall vest in the Crown.

    This Hindu Succession Act Amendment made in 2005 was to grant, among others, rights to women to inherit agricultural land of the parents and husband. Under this amendment the daughters, including married daughters, are coparceners in joint family property, with the same birth right as sons, to share, claim partition, and (by presumption) to become karta (managers), while also sharing the liabilities. This would be applicable for Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains religious communities of India.
