    Gender is of particular interest in the sustainable management of wildlife as it relates to the use, attitudes, and knowledge of the resource.     This paper aims at understanding: i) how gender-sensitive and transformative instruments promote territorial development through women’s empowerment and ii) how these instruments can contribute to food security, rural development and poverty reduction.
