    The purpose of the present Law is to achieve the objectives and principles of federal and cantonal legislation in the field of land use planning and construction. The text consists of 127 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Land use planning (2); Development (3); Land consolidation and boundary adjustment (4); Measures to promote the availability of land (5); Building regulations (6); Procedural provisions, administrative enforcement and penalties (7); Transitional and final provisions (8).

    This Regional Law regulates some issues in the sphere of organization, protection and management of protected areas. Regional protected areas shall be classified as follows: (a) natural parks; (b) state nature reserves: (c) nature monuments; and (d) dendrological parks and botanical gardens. The following protected areas shall be set up on the regional territory: (a) scientific research permanent establishments; and (b) landscape natural parks. Special protection zone shall be set up around protected areas with a view of prevention of negative anthropogenic impact.

    This Governmental Decree establishes the modalities of forest management in public forest, on protected areas and in forests not pertaining to public forest fund. Forest management shall be performed by forest management organization subordinated to state Forest Service. In the process of forest management practice shall be performed mandatory forest inventory. Transfer of low value land areas in other categories. Forest management shall be completed with mapping of forest land.

The grounds for reserving land for protected areas shall be programs of development and distribution of protected areas validated in accordance with the established modalities. Plots of land destined for protected areas shall be surveyed on site by a special commission with the participation of landowners concerned. The results of on-site survey shall be legalized in the form of act with the enclosure of survey map.

    Authorised representatives of the state bodies of state power of the Russian Federation and the bodies of state power of the Republic of Tatarstan have agreed on the following: 1) Demarcation of the objects of management and mutual delegation of powers between the state bodies of the Russian Federation and the state bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan shall be governed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan and the present Treaty.

    This Regional Law establishes the modalities of organization, establishment of boundaries and management regime of historical and cultural reserve of regional significance. It specifies that integral historical, cultural and natural complex requiring particular protection can be classified as historical and cultural reserve of regional significance. The grounds for such classification shall be expert opinion and its substantiation.

    The exact description and delimitation of habitat types are an important tool and a basic condition for the protection and effective management of the natural environment and biodiversity in Greece. It is also a bounding obligation towards the competent EU bodies. Previously registered habitats (period 1999−2001) concerned in total 237 land areas totaling roughly 2 millions hectares of land. This work was the first and only mapping of habitat types in protected areas, resulting in the production of thematic maps (habitat type maps).
