    The Vision of the Forest Policy is that: by 2062, Jamaica’s forests and its biodiversity are sufficiently restored and sustainably managed, so once again the island can adequately be described as “the land of wood and water”, capable of meeting the social, economic and ecological needs of current and future generations.

Aunque su reconocimiento y conversión sigue siendo un asunto pendiente a garantizar por parte del Estado.

    Relata cómo a partir de la década de los 2000, los indígenas guaraníes que habitaban Pananti APG, comunidad de Yacuiba, Bolivia, comenzaron a recuperar su identidad cultural y a defender sus derechos a su territorio. Por ello, alrededor de 20 familias guaraníes, principalmente lideradas por mujeres, defendieron sus tierras a través de trámites de titulación de una parte de Pananti.

    This paper reviews the literature on the participation of women and children in agricultural activities in Latin America and the Caribbean. The review focuses on participation through labor in agriculture overall and in certain agricultural activities in particular. Also reviewed are the rural family`s access to and capacity for decision-making on resources. Factors influencing such participation are analyzed, such as farm size, land ownership, income levels, racial origin, and destiny of production.
