    Au Maroc, les politiques foncières post indépendance de 1956 ont abouti dans la zone occupée par la France à la mise sous tutelle d’une partie du foncier récupéré de la colonisation officielle et privée (DPE), au maintien du régime des terres collectives codifié dès 1919 par les autorités coloniales et au transfert des grandes propriétés immatriculées à des acteurs nationaux. Dans la zone sous protectorat espagnol, la colonisation des terres agricoles a pris des formes différentes1.

    Le Togo a connu une forte croissance économique dont la poursuite devra être soutenue par l’amélioration du secteur foncier. La croissance économique de plus de 5% annuellement depuis 2009 est parmi les meilleurs du continent. Cette évolution s’est accompagnée d’une réduction de la pauvreté qui demeure cependant élevée à environ 55% (2015). La ville de Lomé a été l’un des piliers de ce développement, servant de base arrière au Port de Lomé, principal moteur de l’économie du pays.

    The National Statistical Office has conducted the Agricultural Census every 10 years in accordance with the recommendation of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and this census round was the sixth of its series. The census aims to provide basic information of the structure of agriculture and that information provides as a guideline for developing agricultural policies and plans as well as for monitoring agricultural development for both national and local levels.

Each study covers law making, content and implementation.

    L’abandon, déjà ancien, de l’agriculture a contribué à l’émergence des crises politico-militaires récentes en République centrafricaine. Un retour à la paix ne pourra donc pas être durable sans une action volontariste et prolongée en faveur du développement agricole, et notamment sans la recherche d’une meilleure articulation entre agriculture et élevage. Telle est la thèse défendue par les auteurs de l’article, qui envisagent ensuite quelques-unes les modalités que pourrait prendre cet appui à l’agriculture.

    The agricultural sector in Armenia contributes around 20 percent to gross domestic product and provides employment to around 40 percent of the country’s labour force. The backbone of agriculture in the country is represented by smallholders and family farms. According to 2014 census data, 317 346 family farms contribute over 97 percent of the total agricultural output and comprise 99 86 percent of all active agricultural holdings.

It is only through closing the gender gap that strategies on sustainable agriculture and rural development can reach their full potential.
