    These Regulations amend the Cadastral Land Survey (Registration of Memorandum of Survey and Survey Report in Rodrigues) Regulations 2013 in regulation 3 with respect of ptrcedures for the registration and approval of a Memorandum of Survey and Survey Report. The Departmental Head shall endorse every memorandum or report of survey. Amends: Cadastral Land Survey (Registration of Memorandum of Survey and Survey Report in Rodrigues) Regulations 2013 (GN No. 121 of 2013). (2013-06-06)

    These Regulations list in the Schedule the prescribed bodies for the purposes of section 15(2) of the Cadastral Survey Act 2011. These bodies shall be exempted from payment of a fee for access to the digital cadastral database (DCDB).

    These Regulations, made by the Minister under section 21 of the Cadastral Survey Act, concerns a memorandum of survey or survey report, which shall be drawn up, in such form and manner as the Chief Surveyor may approve and in accordance with these Regulations. The two originals of every memorandum of survey or survey report shall be registered by the land surveyor within 14 days of the completion of the survey. The Permanent Secretary shall endorse every memorandum or report of survey received by him or her.

    These Regulations, made under section 21 of the Cadastral Survey Act 2011, apply the Cadastral Survey (Land Surveys) Regulations 2013, except Regulation 5(6)(c) to (g) and (7), to the Island of Rodrigues. Those provisions concern method of survey and marking of boundaries.

    These Regulations implement provisions of the Cadastral Survey Act 2011. They, among other things: empower the Chief Surveyor to, in accordance with the Act, issue Guidelines, Directions and Notices to land surveyors, to regulate the practice of land surveyors and to set standards for land survey work; provide rules for the carrying out of survey works; regulate survey procedures; and provide for the making of boundaries and the drafting of survey plans.

    These Regulations amend the Registration Duty Act in Part VII of the First Schedule (which specifies rates of registration duty) and in the Second Schedule in item 4A. The Second Schedule concerns calculation of the value of property for duty purposes.

    These Regulations set out the form of an application under section 7(3) of the Cadastral Survey Act 2011. Such application shall be accompanied by the appropriate fee specified in the Second Schedule. Section 7 stipulates that any interested person may apply for the assignment of a Parcel Identification Number (PIN) in respect of any plot of land or unit to be assigned by the Chief Surveyor.
