In this 2012 edition of Moving Forward, FAO Forestry is pleased to present a selection of the work it undertook in the 2010-2011 biennium for the benefit of the global forestry community. The FAO Forestry Programme encompasses a vast range of activities and projects, of which this booklet presents only a sample. In all regions of the world, the Programme is helping to implement sustainable forest management and boost the livelihoods of forest-dependent people. It does this, in part, by improving information on forests.

Document de travail sur les régimes fonciers 20. Ce document analyse les caractéristiques des systèmes de propriété communale dans divers pays d’Asie. Les pressions actuelles du marché sur les ressources naturelles créent à la fois des défis et des opportunités pour les communautés et pour les gouvernements en vue d’utiliser et de renforcer les systèmes de propriété commune pour promouvoir la gestion durable des ressources naturelles. Des politiques et des institutions ad hoc sont nécessaires pour promouvoir la redevabilité des acteurs et la bonne gouvernance de ces ressources.

En él se contextualiza y se define el concepto de género en las Directrices Voluntarias, se trata el significado de gobernanza de tenencia desde la perspectiva de género y se identifican y analizan los temas y aspectos claves.

En este número nos proponemos examinar una nueva publicación intitulada Payments for ecosystem services and food security («Pagos por servicios del ecosistema y seguridad alimentaria»). Este documento forma parte del proceso preparatorio de participación de la FAO en Río+20, un acontecimiento por celebrarse en 2012. También proyectamos una mirada sobre la Semana Mundial del Agua, que tendrá lugar en Estocolmo (Suecia) del 21 al 27 de agosto. En esa ocasión la FAO participará en un seminario que anticipará el tema del Día Mundial del Agua de 2012, «Agua y seguridad alimentaria».

Le Maroc qui dispose de ressources appréciables en sols, eau et forêts a décidé, dès son indépendance en 1956, de faire de l’agriculture, l’un des piliers de son développement. Il a également su mettre à profit sa double façade atlantique et méditerranéenne, qui recèle un important potentiel halieutique, pour assurer au secteur des pêches un élan de développement durable. De tels choix ont créé une dynamique de croissance économique régulière qui a permis d’assurer la sécurité alimentaire du peuple marocain.

The Workshop on Governance of Tenure for Responsible Capture Fisheries was convened by the FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Department in collaboration with the Land Tenure Unit of the Natural Resources and Environment Department to generate inputs and guidance on the contents and process of developing fisheries sector specific implementation guidelines on the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security.

到2050年，全球范围内的粮食产量预计需要再递增70%左右，而在发展中国家这一比例将近100%。面对粮食增产的这一需求，再加上其他领域需求的争夺，使全球许多农业生产系统纷纷置于前所未有的压力之下。这些“濒临系统”正处于愈演愈烈的水土资源大战之中，而且还经常受到不可持续的农耕方式的掣肘。因此，需要对其特别注意并采取具体的救助措施。《世界粮食和农业领域土地及水资源状况》（SOLAW）就这些高危领域如何克服制约因素并改善资源管理探讨了多种方案。在每一个领域，除了要在制度和政策上作出一些列调整外，还必须将其与扩大技术应用结合起来，以获得更好的水土资源管理效果。另外，加大投资力度、提供新型融资机制以及开展国际合作与开发援助也有助于克服这些制约因素。本书作为《世界粮食和农业领域土地及水资源状况》第一期，是对联合国粮食及农业组织出版的其他“世界状况”类报告的一个补充，其旨在揭示国家与国际层面上的论争和决策情况。

The Land Cover Atlas of the Republic of South Sudan provides information on the land cover distribution by administrative and sub-basin divisions. The dataset was created using the FAO/GLCN methodology and tools. Main data sources include satellite imagery from SPOT and Global Land Survey (GLS) Landsat, existing Africover land cover database and ancillary data.

Este manual de capacitación está destinado a personas que trabajan tanto en la gestión de riesgos y respuesta a los desastres naturales, como aquéllas que trabajan en el sector de la tenencia de la tierra. Mediante un formato de auto-capacitación, esta publicación tiene como objetivo brindar una visión general de los aspectos más importantes de la tenencia de la tierra que pueden surgir después de un desastre natural y que necesitan ser considerados e incluidos en los procesos de toma de decisiones asociados con las diferentes fases del manejo de riesgos en los desastres naturales.
