Durante dois dias, um grupo de 23 camponeses, provenientes de oito aldeias dos distritos de Moaze e Marara, reuniram-se em Mwaladzi, para, em ambiente aberto, informal e parcipavo, parlharem estórias das suas vidas, em zonas de reassentamento ou afectadas por acvidades de mineração na Província de Tete. Através deste processo de auto- reconhecimento, a que denominamos de ʺnarração de sofrimentoʺ, as comunidades interpretam o seu percurso; dando-lhe sendo.

Neste artigo apresentamos um breve olhar sobre a guerra civil em Moçambique, tendo como pano de fundo a obra de Christian Geffray, La Cause des Armes au Mozambique, que marca um ponto de viragem epistemológico nos estudos sobre as causalidades da guerra moçambicana. Pretendemos enquadrar essa discussão numa perspectiva antropológica mais vasta, dos denominados estudos sobre a antropologia da guerra, contribuindo igualmente com dados empíricos nossos, recolhidos ao longo de várias estadias de terreno na região centro de Moçambique, entre 1994 e 2001.

Diamonds in the Delta (DiD) is an international research-action network of scholars, water professionals and civil society advocates who are concerned about how climate change compounds problems of flooding and subsidence in delta cities. We – the people in the network – are united in our conviction that the needs, experiences and aspirations of communities that are actually or potentially most affected by these problems should be the focus when designing and implementing solutions.

LAND-at-scale is a land governance support program for developing countries from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, which was launched in 2019. The aim of the program is to directly strengthen essential land governance components for men, women and youth that have the potential to contribute to structural, just, sustainable and inclusive change at scale in lower- and middle-income countries/regions/landscapes. The program is designed to scale successful land governance initiatives and to generate and disseminate lessons learned to facilitate further scaling.

Os discursos e posicionamentos sobre o regime de propriedade da terra em Moçambique não são coincidentes. Este artigo apresenta as percepções que os diferentes stakeholders (Estado, Comunidades locais, sector privado, Investidores, Sociedade Civil, etc.) envolvidos na relação com a terra possuem em relação à questão fundiária no País, sobretudo no atual contexto marcado pelo grande fluxo de projetos de investimento, de investidores nacionais e estrangeiros, com interesses no agronegócio, na exploração mineira e exploração de hidrocarbonetos.

This paper is one of three thematic case studies resulting from a set of pilot projects undertaken jointly by civil society and private business partners from 2016–2019 in five countries in sub-Saharan Africa. These pilots sought to test how private companies could collaborate with civil society organisations and other stakeholders to implement responsible agribusiness investments that recognise and respect community land rights, and to develop innovative tools and approaches that could be adopted and implemented at greater scale.

desenvolvimento sustentável da região. O objectivo é contribuir para a compreensão dos

efeitos da utilização da floresta pelos diversos utilizadores na sustentabilidade do recurso. O

estudo analisa o papel desempenhado pelos Comités dos Recursos Naturais (CRN) na

exploração da floresta.
