This Regional Legislative Decree, consisting of 171 articles divided into nine Chapters, establishes the general bases of the Public Policy for Land, Regional Territorial Planning and Urbanism within the Autonomous Region of Madeira. This Regional Legislative Decree under Law n. 31/2014, of May 30, defines the regional system for the territorial management.
This Law sets the basis for the spatial planning and urban policy defining and integrating the actions undertaken at all levels by the Public Administration with the aim of ensuring an adequate organization and use of territory. The main objective is to achieve economic, social and cultural sustainable development of the Country.
This Law, consisting of seven Titles divided into 84 articles, establishes the general basis for policies on public soils, land use and urbanism. This Law does not apply to planning and management of the national maritime areas, without prejudice to the coherence, coordination and harmonization of soil policy and land use planning with policy on planning and management of the national maritime space.

The Attached Management Plan is composed of VI Chapters divided in 35 articles. It classifies land use allowed in the area covered by the Plan with the view of balancing natural resources and values with a sustainable land use.
This Resolution composed of two articles and one Annex, approves the Management Plan of Albufeira da Aguieira, including the regulation and zoning maps, and modifies accordingly the National Ecological reserve. The Attached Management Plan is composed of six Chapters divided in 48 articles. It classifies land use allowed in the area covered by the Plan with the view of balancing natural resources and values with a sustainable land use.
This Resolution subjects the comprehending areas of the Castelo de Bode dam to preventive measures. The underlined preventive measures are: prohibition of creating accesses to the dam; prohibition of creating infrastructures besides those for public bathing use whose construction license is that previous to the publication of this Resolution; use prohibition of effluent productors other than those found connected to treatment plants localized in an urban perimeter defined in the urbanization plan.
This Resolution approves the Regulation on Coastal Zone Planning (POOC) between the areas of 'Sines' and 'Burgau'. The Regulation consists of 5 parts and 2 Annexes defining the conditions to be satisfied in order to organize and plan the coastal zone of the aforesaid areas. The text is divided as follows: General provisions (Part 1); Servitudes and other administrative restrictions (2); Coastal zone use, classifying the different areas (3); Management and planning services (4); Final provisions (5). Annexes list geographical map of the area.
This Decree-Law establishes the obligation to draw up a map concerning urban areas subject to flood risk. It consists of 5 articles establishing the requirements to be satisfied by the Municipal Plans for Territory Management (PMOT) in order to prevent water flood and to guarantee soil protection within the involved areas. PMOT Regulations establish necessary restrictions in order to avoid flood risks.
