This paper focused on land registration. The distribution and use of land are of vital importance, and it is not surprising, therefore, that land records are a matter of great concern in most countries.
The main factors that influence the rational land use, conservation and protection of land resources are global ecological and food security, world's population growth, climate change, land acquisition by large world agricultural corporations etc. In this process a priority of attention is protection of the important agricultural lands (in Ukraine, these lands are called especially valuable lands - EVL). Besides, lands with highly productive soils, areas with undisturbed ecosystems, territories with objects of cultural heritage, natural therapeutic resources are a part of EVL.
Changes to the legislation governing the state registration of rights to immovable property and their encumbrances aimed at simplifying relevant procedures, they will improve the existing legal regulation in this area and are designed to ensure the safety and protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the owners, users’ real estate by creating additional safeguards for them.

Региональное совещание для Восточной Европы состоялось в Бухаресте 22 24 марта 2010 года. Региональное совещание для стран СНГ будет проведено позже в этом году.

By setting out principles and internationally accepted standards for responsible practices, the Voluntary Guidelines will provide a framework and point of reference that stakeholders can use when developing their own policies and actions.
