Its main objective is ensuring sustainable and high economic growth and the implementation of efficient social protection policies.The PRSP among others is concerned with agricultural development. It notes that in 2003-2015, the growth of agricultural production will continue to be the main factor for the reduction of rural poverty.

    La présente loi autorise la ratification de la réglementation commune aux Etats membres du CILSS sur l’homologation des pesticides, révisée et adoptée par le Conseil des Ministres du CILSS, le 16 décembre 1999 à N’Djaména (Tchad), dont le but est de mettre en commun (dans un cadre sous-régional de coopération) les expériences et l’expertise des Etats membres pour l’évaluation et l’homologation des pesticides afin d’assurer leur utilisation rationnelle et judicieuse, ainsi que la protection de la santé humaine et de l’environnement.

    This Protocol sets up Interstate council on natural and technological disasters performing the following functions: (a) assistance in organization of cooperation between the Parties in the sphere of prevention of natural and technological disasters and mitigation of the consequences thereof; and (b) drafting recommendations for improvement of legislation related to prevention of natural and technological disasters and mitigation of the consequences thereof.

    The Parties have agreed to cooperate in the following spheres: (a) integration of early warning systems and emergency intervention systems; (b) joint participation in the international organizations and programs; (c) liability of each Party for the outbreak and consequences of disasters; (d) prevention of the outbreak of disasters; and (e) autonomous decision-making at the national level.

    The Code regulates the land relations on the territory of Armenia and intends to provide effective land use and maintenance, environmental protection and improvement, creation of conditions for equal development of all economic forms based on a variety of property, preservation of rights of citizens, enterprises and organizations, and at legal reinforcement of the rule of law in the sphere of land relations (Preamble). The Code sets out the redistribution of the land stocks by allotting land as property, for permanent use and for temporary use (art.5-7).

    The Land Code of Armenia becomes effective on 15 March, 1991 (art. 1). Only legislation which does not contradict provisions of the Code will apply (art. 2). The Land Code will apply to laws enacted- and rights and responsibilities arising after the Code comes into effect (arts. 3 and 4). The Council of Ministers shall, prior to 15 March 1991, propose to the Supreme Soviet the amendments ensuing from the Land Code of the legislation currently in force (art. 6). (6 articles)

    This Law establishes the principles governing property rights in Armenia. The object of property may be, inter alia, land, bowels of the earth, waters (rivers and lakes) and vegetation and animal life (art. 6). Land is given to the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, by property right, for operating an agricultural enterprise, for gardening, for the construction and maintenance of homes as well as other needs provided by law. The order and condition of land allotment, by property right, is determined by the Land Code of the Republic of Armenia (art. 11). (61 articles)
