    From 2009 to 2014 a nationwide effort was made to document, collect, conserve, and characterize wheat landraces grown by Turkish farmers. Spike samples were collected from more than 1600 farmers from 59 provinces, planted as single-spike progenies, and classified into species, subspecies, and botanical varieties (or morphotypes). Altogether, 95 morphotypes were identified representing three species and six subspecies: einkorn wheat (Triticum monococcum L.), emmer wheat [T. turgidum subsp. dicoccon (Schrank) Thell.], cone wheat (T. turgidum subsp. turgidum), durum wheat [T. turgidum subsp.

    This study aims to generate a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) based land suitability assessment for rice cultivation in the Hayrabolu Stream Basin located in the Thrace Peninsula where important rice cultivation areas of Turkey situated. The basin area is most important rice cultivation site in Tekirdağ province. In this regard, the study was considered significant attributes for evaluating current contribution of Tekirdağ province to the rice cultivation in Turkey and supporting the future agricultural plans in the region.

    This Decree amends Paragraph 1 of Article 1 as “designation of agricultural land in every district aims at supporting, planning and development of agricultural production in ecologically suitable areas and making agricultural inventory”. This Decree adds Provisional Clause 1 regarding the state support for agricultural production until 31 December 2018.

    This Regulation makes several changes in the Regulation on the implementation of Law No. 6306 on restructuring of areas under risk of natural disasters. Two subparagraphs have been added under Paragraph 1 of the Article 4 regarding reporting as a result of field monitoring and documentation. In Article 5, amendments have been made regarding demolition of buildings which are under risk.
