    Le 11 mai 2017 a marqué le 5ème anniversaire de l’approbation des Directives volontaires pour une gouvernance responsable des terres, des pêches et des forêts dans le contexte de la sécurité alimentaire nationale (DV) par le Comité de la sécurité alimentaire mondial (CSA). Les DV ne sont plus simplement des mots dans un document et leurs principes et processus incitent les personnes du monde entier à agir et à changer leur réalité.

    This assessment focuses on three main services that plant protection impacts on soil can significantly affect: provisioning services for food, fibre, and fuel supply and regulating services for water quality and erosion. The Global Soil Partnership (GSP) at its 2016 plenary session requested that the Intergovernmental Technical Panel on Soils (ITPS) complete “an assessment at global level of the impact of Plant Protection Products on soil functions and ecosystems”. It is an activity under the strategic objective SO2 and indirectly contributing to all FAO strategic objectives.

    La première édition de la Base de référence mondiale pour les ressources en sols (WRB) a été publiée lors du 16ème Congrès Mondial de la Science du Sol à Montpellier en 1998. Lors du même événement, elle fut adoptée comme système de corrélation des sols et de communication internationale de l'Union Internationale des Sciences du Sol (IUSS). La seconde édition de la WRB a été publiée au 18ème Congrès Mondial à Philadelphie en 2006.<p></p>Après huit années de tests intensifs et de collectes de données dans le monde entier, la troisième édition de la WRB est publiée en 2014.

    Given its wide scope on the work on forests, FAO requests information from its member countries in many different ways, using various reporting formats and questionnaires. The collected information is used to produce several outputs such as databases, overviews, reports, case-studies and other analyses. Below the flow of information from countries to FAO is sorted in two main categories: 1. Regular reporting requests and 2. Other reporting requests. The regular reporting requests contain information regularly reported by countries to FAO.

    This publication offers a fresh look at the theory and practice of modern water rights, from a comparative law angle. It sheds light on a number of key features of such rights, and contrasts these to traditional forms and kinds of water rights.     The present water report is the final product emanating from efforts by FAO, IWMI and others to document and understand the implications of the irrigation sector embarking on a wide reform process. It is intended to be a knowledge synthesis document that captures the global experiences emerging from a wide-reaching process targeting the reform of the irrigation sector. This study indicates that IMT is an approach for irrigation sector reform with the potential to improve the sust ainability of irrigation systems.
