We – the people in the network – are united in our conviction that the needs, experiences and aspirations of communities that are actually or potentially most affected by these problems should be the focus when designing and implementing solutions.

It is composed of four packages: Agent, Community, Space and Vegetation-Herd. We illustrate these packages with examples extracted from the various models. The role of this tool is discussed in order to show its advantages and its limits

They provide a variety of wood and non-wood products and vital ecosystem services – preventing erosion from wind and water, preserving water quality, shading crops and livestock, absorbing carbon which contributes to countering climate change, and providing habitat for many species of plants and animals, thus helping to conserve the planet’s biological diversity.
