    This guide describes two of the main approaches to greenhouse gas mitigation planning in developing countries: Low-Emission Development Strategies (LEDS) and Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs). It explains the possible relationships between them and their status within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). National mitigation planning processes have policy, technical and institutional dimensions that need to be addressed in an integrated and iterative manner. For each of these dimensions four key elements are outlined.

    The report reviews a broad range of food security and agricultural development policy decisions implemented over the period 2007 to 2012 in more than 70 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Selected policy decisions were analysed following FAPDA’s classification, dividing policy decisions into three main categories: producer-oriented policies, consumer-oriented policies, as well as trade-oriented and macroeconomic policies. Policy decisions reviewed included those most debated and most frequently implemented since the 2007/08 food price crisis.

    المساواة بين الجنسين هي أحد المبادئ الأساسية العشرة للخطوط التوجيهية الطوعية بشأن الحوكمة المسؤولة لحيازة الأراضي ومصايد الأسماك والغابات في سياق الأمن الغذائي الوطني. ويهدف هذا الدليل إلى المساعدة على تنفيذ هذا المبدأ عن طريق تحقيق حوكمة حيازة الأراضي حوكمةً مسؤولةً منصفةً لكلا الجنسين. ويركّز الدليل على تحقيق الإنصاف وعلى الكيفية التي يمكن بها حوكمة حيازة الأراضي بطرق تلبّي الاحتياجات والأولويات المختلفة للمرأة والرجل.
