An Act to make provision for the improvement and conservation of the soil and for the prevention of damage or deterioration by erosion to land in certain areas of Barbados and for matters connected therewith.

This Act makes provision with respect to soil conservation in the Scotland District and for this purpose establishes the Scotland District Soil Conservation Board.The Board shall advise the Minister on the utilization of lands in the conservation area, i.e. the area as set out in the First Schedule to this Act. It shall also examine proposals concerning the conservation and improvement of land in the conservation area submitted to it under this Act by the Chief Agricultural Officer.
