Argentina ha sido y es, dentro de la región, un campo de experimentación para las empresas transnacionales, y hoy coexisten, aquí y en gran parte del mundo, dos formas antagónicas y conflictivas de concebir lo agrario: las cadenas agroindustriales del agronegocio, y los sistemas alimentarios campesinos, indígenas y de la agricultura familiar que aspiran a la construcción de la Soberanía Alimentaria.
Secure land tenure is key to eradicating poverty;increasing agricultural investment and ensuring food security;and is an essential element of climate action and climate resilience. Yet women have far weaker rights to land than men. These disadvantages exist broadly and with few exceptions globally and are especially limiting to the well-being of women and their families in rural areas;where land is the basis for livelihood;identity;social standing and social security.
Report provides an alternate response to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change’s request to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) to analyse impacts of warming to 1.5°C and related greenhouse gas emission pathways. Covers strengthening indigenous and community land rights;restoring forests and other ecosystems;and transforming agriculture. Confines solution pathways to low-risk land-sector approaches that protect;restore and sustainably manage natural ecosystems;while respecting human rights.
