Increasing investment by smallholders in agriculture and livestock is essential for improving food security, income and resilience to climate change, but can be constrained by tenure insecurity. To help overcome the barriers faced in improving land tenure security, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) launched the Global Project on Responsible Land Policy (GPRLP), which is testing interventions, evaluating impact and drawing lessons for scaling.

The Global Programme 'Responsible Land Policy' (GPRLP) is part of the Special Initiative 'One World, No Hunger' of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), which aims to reduce extreme poverty and hunger.

In Peru, ProTierras Comunales (PTC), as part of the Global Programme, aims to improve the access to land and natural resources for native communities in the Peruvian Amazon, in the regions Ucayali and San Martín. A functional and regularly updated digital cadastre system was created to improve the land titling system.

Los conflictos territoriales incluyen superposiciones de diferentes categorías territoriales otorgadas por el Estado en sus diferentes niveles y las tensiones entre vecinos (conflictos sociales), todos estos representan "obstáculos para la titulación" o pueden limitar la futura gestión territorial de las comunidades nativas.

El equipo de la ONG Paz y Esperanza trabajó en estrecha colaboración con CODEPISAM, sus ocho federaciones y los presidentes de los miembros de las comunidades nativas, se hicieron visitas de campo en base a ella se actualizaron los datos y mapas.
