    The Act, consisting of 42 sections divided into and completed by one Schedule, provides for the protection, conservation, rehabilitation and improvement of the environment, including the prevention and control of pollution, and promotion of sustainable development. It extends to the whole Province of Balochistan except Tribal Areas. The Act establishes the following obligations: Prohibition of import of hazardous and electronic Wastes; Solid and Waste Management License; Water Resources Management; Motor vehicles; Alien Species and Living Modified Organisms.

    Tanzania

    This Act makes provision with respect to the management, use and maintenance of irrigation systems. It establishes the National Irrigation Commission and defines its functions and powers. The Commission is established as a body corporate and shall be an independent department of the Government under the Ministry responsible for irrigation. The Commission shall be responsible for coordination, promotional and regulatory functions in the development of the irrigation sector.

    Starting in the 1990s, the Vietnamese state sought to expand and modernise the country’s urban system after four decades of anti-urban policies. This paper examines the reworking of the socialist land regime that followed from this shift. It begins by explaining how new legislation and institutions combined market and socialist principles to lure domestic enterprises into realising the state’s new urban ambitions. It then shows how this hybrid reordering of policy triggered local experiments with periurban land redevelopment and new forms of alliances between the state and private capital.

Yet, within the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, these gender dynamics are frequently disregarded. In Vietnam, rice is intimately linked to the country’s food security. Over the last decade, rice export levels, production methods, and local and global market prices have remained constant preoccupations for governmental and development agencies.

    Resumo Observa-se atualmente o revigoramento dos deba­tes sobre o Estatuto da Cidade, questionando sua efetividade, a baixa participação popular e sua uti­lização para legitimação de políticas engendradas por interesses particulares. Nesse contexto, este artigo investiga as Operações Urbanas Consorcia­das (OU) enquanto mecanismo de recuperação de mais-valias fundiárias. Partindo de um estudo so­bre a OU Faria Lima (São Paulo-SP), discute-se de forma prospectiva a OU Linha Verde (Curitiba-PR), em fase inicial de implantação.

Si bien existen numerosas iniciativas en la región, aún se evidencia cierto desconocimiento en lo que se refiere a conceptos y virtudes de todos los instrumentos.
