    The Act regulates spatial planning in Estonia. Its aim is to create, by promoting environmentally sound and economically, culturally and socially sustainable development, the preconditions that are necessary for democratic, long-term and balanced spatial development that takes into account the needs and interests of all members of the Estonian society to occur, for democratic, long-term and balanced land use pattern that takes into account the needs and interests of all members of the Estonian society to form and for high-quality living and built environment to develop.

    This Act defines the powers and functions of the Manx Utilities Authority as established by article 4 of the Transfer of Functions (Manx Utilities Authority) Order 2014 and the Department of Infrastructure, and provides with respect to collection and distribution of water in the Isle of Man. Some provisions concern water pollution. The Authority shall comply with such directions regarding the exercise of its functions as may be given by the Department.

    The aim of this Directive is the integrated prevention and control of pollution arising from the activities listed out in Annex I, such as energy industries, production of basic organic chemicals, waste management, production of pulp from timber, slaughtering and production of food products from animal or vegetable raw materials. This Directive lays down measures designed to prevent or reduce, as the case may be, emissions in the air, water and land from the activities aforementioned, in order to achieve a high level of the environment taken as a whole.

    This Act creates a new legislative and management framework for the marine environment in Scotland. It, among other things: establishes a new system of marine planning to take into account marine environment protection and management matters, creates a system of licensing of marine activities and defines powers to establish marine protected areas to protect natural and cultural marine features. The Act also introduces a new regime for the conservation of seals and gives powers to Scottish marine enforcement officers to ensure compliance with the new licensing and conservation regime.
