    Article 43 of Land Code shall be amended to add the following wording: “Allotment of land plots located within 500 meters from coastline of a waterbody shall be performed after establishment of borders of water conservation zones and regime of its economic management, except for protected areas and public forests”.

    This report is about forests that provide a substantial contribution to mitigation in Romania by sequestering carbon, helping to counter carbon emissions from other sectors in the economy. Sustainable forest management is challenged by fragmented ownership and insufficient financial resources in particular. A summary of key existing analytic studies, and the construction of a marginal abatement cost curve for mitigation actions in the forestry sector, was the basis for identifying key adaptation and mitigation measures for Romania’s forests.

    Land Tenure Working Paper 15. This publication brings to light the existing linkages between land tenure and the realization of the right to food. It points out that responsible governance of land requires the adoption of human rights-based approach in order to develop coherent and long term solutions to improve people’s livelihoods. The document presents the legal implications of the right to food at national level and provides a series of examples on the implementation of human rights principles and obligations into land tenure systems, policies, and institutional frameworks.

    This report presents the outcome of a macroeconomic survey of the forest sector of the Republic of Latvia. It presents issues and parameters facing public and private sector decision-makers in their respective attempts to develop this sector. It identifies opportunities and constraints to investment and proposes measures to, accordingly, either engage them or remove them. It also attempts to introduce simple methodologies to undertake analysis currently constrained by the absence of more comprehensive data.

    This Governmental Decree establishes the modalities of forest management in public forest, on protected areas and in forests not pertaining to public forest fund. Forest management shall be performed by forest management organization subordinated to state Forest Service. In the process of forest management practice shall be performed mandatory forest inventory. Transfer of low value land areas in other categories. Forest management shall be completed with mapping of forest land.

    Item 2 shall be amended to add the following wording: "Cadastre valuation shall be applicable for the purpose of assessment of cost of forest land either pertaining or not pertaining to public forest in case of management thereof for purposes not related to forest manegement, and also for expropriation (purchase) for state and public needs".

    Amends: Ministerial Decree No. 458 validating the Regulation of assessment of cost of forest land for the purpose of compensation of damages in case of use of plots of forest land for purpose not related to forestry. (2013-08-13)

    The Land Code makes provision for the regulation of "land relations" and its purpose is to secure rational use and protection of land, the protection of the environment, and "the equal development of all forms of economic activity in Tajikistan" (Preamble). Other laws regulating land relations may be enacted on the basis of this Code.Land is declared to be in exclusive ownership if the State in article 2.

    This study reviews how the integration of environmental concerns into agriculture and forestry is progressing in the countries of Southeastern Europe (SEE) and of Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia (EECCA) since 2000 and assesses prospects for the future. The present report is a contribution to the environment for Europe process. At the Fifth Ministerial Conference in Kiev in 2003, participants decided to pay greater attention to the needs of the EECCA and adopted an environmental strategy for the sub-region.

    This Ministerial Decree, with a view of conservation of unique ecosystems and biosphere reserves, and organization of national and international recreational tourism, establishes to set up state national parks “Kara-Shoro” and “Besh-Tash” and transfer thereto forested land, shrubbery, pastures out of the stock of public land. This Ministerial Decree contains complete mapping and description of the boundaries of both national parks.

    This Order establishes that transfer of unforested land to forested land within state forest fund shall be carried out by public forest owner in accordance with the modalities set by this Governmental Order. Felling areas, burnt forest areas, grassy glades and areas of dead vegetation shall be subject to transfer to forested land category after afforestation and reforestation arrangements or natural afforestation and reforestation. Transfer shall be carried out after inspection of the areas by the officials of the authorized forestry institution.
