The purpose of this Resolution is to define the requirements and conditions for obtaining a licence for the division and partition of lands. This Resolution is composed of 2 Chapters divided into 7 articles. Chapter I deals with matters related to licences and in particular with: (a) licences which shall be issued by the Ministry of Housing; (b) applications for licences shall be submitted to the Survey Department accompanied by the necessary documents and certificates; and (c) the Natural Planning Department shall prepare the land division. This Resolution is composed of 7 Chapters divided into 34 articles. Chapter I gives terms and definitions. Chapter II deals with the establishment of industrial zones, in particular: establishment and definition of industrial zones shall be carried out by a resolution of the Prime Minister; industrial zones are divided into branches industrial zones and branches into sub-branches; maps; industrial activities shall start within a year from the date of the receipt of land vouchers; and, keeping of land registers. Chapter III pertains to the exploitation of lands destined to industrial zones.
This Decree Law is composed of 8 articles. Article 1 defines requirements and conditions for the possession and acquisition of lands and buildings by physical and juristic citizens from Countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Article 3 deals with the transfer of the ownership of lands acquired in accordance with this Decree Law. Articles 5 and 6 pertain to the expropriation and registration of lands acquired by citizens of the GCC.
