    Pursuant to Article X, Section 2 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, it is hereby declared as a matter of customary law that in cases involving title disputes between Iroijlablab title claimants, the Alabs of the directly affected lands shall have the ability and obligation to determine the rightful holder of the Iroijlablab title.

    The Traditional Rights Court shall consist of a permanent panel composed of a Chief Judge and two other judges, and such other members or panels as may be appointed or constituted from time to time as provided for by Section 4 of this Act. The Commission may, for reasons which, in its opinion, are sufficient, suspend or remove any member of the Court or take such other disciplinary action against him oe her as it may deem necessary.

    These Rules of the High Court of the Marshall Islands concern submittal to the Traditional Rights Court of an application to decide on complaints regarding traditional rights and the proceedings of hearings before the Court. In an application, a party shall specify the questions that the party wants certified, and any other party may, within 21 days after such application, request that other questions also be certified. There shall be a pre-trial conference and, if no agreement is possible on a joint statement, separate pre-trail statements.

    An Act to create a single entity to be known as the Customary Law and Language Commission, and to repeal the “Republic of the Marshall Islands Language Commission Act 1983 and the “Customary Law Commission Act 1989".

    This Act provides for the establishment of a Customary Law and Language Commission. The Commission shall carry out tasks relative to the codification of customary law of the Marshall Islands. The President may publish the Code for the benefit of the public and shall present it to the Nitijela, as soon as practicable, for due consideration. The Code shall only have effect as law if the Nitijela declares it by Act as the Customary Law in the Marshall Islands, in accordance with Article X, Section 2 of the Constitution.

    An Act to declare the customary law with respect to the Iroijlaplap rights, titles and interests in and to Enewetak and Ujelang Atolls.

    This Act prescribes that no person may hold any Iroijlaplap rights, titles and interests in and to Enewetak and Ujelang Atolls other than specified persons, who hold such rights, titles and interests to the extent permitted by, and in accordance with, the customs and traditions of the people of Enewetak.

    This Act declares customary law pursuant to Article X, Section 2 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Marshall Islands in respect of right, title and interest in and to Bikini Atoll in the Ralik Chain. As a result of the circumstances attributed to the long time span of the legacy and influence of foreign domination, the customary law shall, have limited force and effect with respect to specified rights and activities.

    This Act stipulates that no person or body of persons recognized in pursuance of the a specified decision of the High Court shall after the date of commencement of this Act assert or exercise any title, right or power of Iroij Laplap with respect to the subject matter thereof which may be asserted or exercised by only such person as shall be entitled thereto according to the rules of customary law.

    The Act declares customary law with respect to specified domains in the Ralik Chain, and provides that there shall be four separate domains and titles and regulates representation of the domains in local councils and the national conventions.
