The purpose of the United Nations challenge badges is to raise awareness, educate and, most of all, motivate young people to change their behaviour and be active agents of change in their local communities. Challenge badges are appropriate for use with school classes and youth groups, and are endorsed by WAGGGS and WOSM. They include a wide range of activities and ideas that can easily be adapted by teachers or leaders.

The objective of the CPF is to identify priority areas for FAO’s support and formulate the implementation plan for the 2012-2016 period. FAO’s priority areas are selected based on Viet Nam’s Socio-Economic Development Strategy (2010-19), strategic development plans of agriculture, forestry and fishery in Viet Nam and the strengths and experience of FAO Viet Nam.

Climate change is likely to have adverse effects on the agriculture sector in Jamaica. Increase in the intensity and frequency of climate related natural hazards, increasing rainfall variability, droughts and floods combined with fragile ecosystems and coastal zones all contribute to Jamaica?s overall vulnerability to climate change. Climate change adaptation is one of the outcomes of the Vision 2030 Jamaica-National Development Plan.
