    These Regulations specify the substances which are hazardous substances for the purposes of the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 and the controlled quantities of those substances. They also lay down the procedure for applications for consent and the determination of applications. Section 108 of the Act provides that the presence on, over or under land, of a hazardous substance equal to or in excess of the controlled quantity (as specified by Regulations) requires the consent of the district council.

    These Regulations prescribe the information to be contained in that register and the manner in which that register is to be kept by the surveying authority (regs. 2 and 3). These Regulations do not apply to an application under section 53(5) of the Act which has been determined by the surveying authority before the relevant date (reg. 4). Section 53(5) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 enables any person to apply to a surveying authority for an order to modify the definitive map and statement concerning public rights of way.

    Every Water Court shall maintain a list of water projects in a water book for their jurisdictional district. The Book shall be organized in 4 divisions: water projects and water works designed to use water as a propelling force, and dam constructions (even if not so intended); water projects and water works for public waters; water supplies; other water projects and water works covered by the Water Act of 1982 (art. 1). Each of these divisions shall be organized according to river basins or, if necessary, sections of river basins.

    These Regulations make minor corrections to the Community Right to Buy (Scotland) Regulations 2015. Regulation 2(2) substitutes the reference to the year “2015” in regulation 1(3)(d)(ii) of the 2015 Regulations with a reference to the year “2016”. Regulation 2(3) adds the words “to the ballotter” into regulation 20(2) of the 2015 Regulations. Regulation 2(4)(b) amends Schedule 11 to the 2015 Regulations to add an additional entry concerning the result into the form of return that must be notified by the ballotter as required by section 52(3) of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003.
