    L’université de Stellenbosch, en Afrique du Sud, a annoncé que ses chercheurs avaient mis au point un nouveau système de fi ltrage de l’eau. Elle faisait allusion à un fi ltre jetable de haute technologie qui ressemble à un sachet de thé et rend potable l’eau très polluée. Il s’agit d’un fi ltre à eau facile d’emploi
    et respectueux de l’environnement qui s’installe dans le goulot d’une bouteille. Selon l’université, cette invention doit permettre aux communautés vulnérables, par exemple celles qui vivent à proximité de cours d’eau pollués, d’accéder facilement à l’eau potable.

    The project focuses on access and control of water/land, and the associated management and governance mechanisms. L4 seeks to provide the people and governments of the Limpopo Basin with:

    1. A package of ways to better understand and organise access rights to water for multiple uses from farm level to the basin and regional level,

    2. A package of ways to organise technologies for different physical and socio-economic contexts so as to improve the management and control of water for multiple uses from one or more water sources,

    The Draft Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol (HSAP) was first introduced in Vietnam at the National Consultant Workshop organized by Vietnam Water Partnership (VNWP) in November 2009. Although the structure of HSAP is relatively complex and new to Vietnam, the participants (from Government agencies, experts, investors, and Vietnamese and international civil society organizations) had the impression that the HSAP has the potential to be a useful tool for participatory assessment of the sustainability of a hydropower project and broader planning.
