    This Regulation prescribes the criteria and necessary standards for the correct valuation (Capability Evaluation) of agricultural land, to be classified in the category of particularly valuable (P1) or valuable arable agricultural land (P2).The basic requirements for a correct evaluation are relative to the values of the soil, climate conditions, terrain, and other natural conditions for agricultural production volume.The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.     This is a Māori/Ngati Porou-led PES scheme that makes use of government afforestation subsidies and foreign direct investment to enable one of the tribe’s commercial bodies, Ngāti Porou Whanui Forests Limited (NPWFL) to become a provider of environmental services by undertaking afforestation activities to mitigate severe soil erosion and its negative effects on the Ngāti Porou community.

    Given the monumental challenges facing today's world - widespread poverty, urban blight, illiteracy, tropical deforestation and the threat of nuclear war, to name only a few - it may seem quite irrelevant to devote an issue of Unasylva to the rather tame-sounding subject of urban forestry. To millions of homeless or starving or unemployed people in the urban centres of the developing world, how important can urban forestry really be? In truth, urban forestry, as sometimes practiced, does tend to benefit the well-to-do at the expense of the underprivileged.
