    This text consists of 6 articles. Article 1 establishes the concept of precinct forests defined as the inland and marine fisheries domain and reserved for fishery productivity. Article 2 subjects the issuing of the land property in the precinct forest to the approval by the Ministry of Agriculture. The conduct of activities such as clearing, chopping, reclaiming or burning is prohibited unless prior authorization of the Ministry of Agriculture has been granted (art. 3).

    The Act provides for the designation of land use of the Cook Islands. The 17 sections are divided into 3 Parts: Zoning Orders (I); Land Use Board (II); Administration (III). The High Commissioner may issue Orders to establish zones of land use. The use of land within the created zone shall be pursuant to the Order (sects. 3 and 4). Except in accordance with the terms of the Order, an occupier shall not make any permanent improvement or alteration or erect any building without the prior consent of the Board (sect. 6).

    The District Council may declare any area a prohibited or preserved (area). All areas listed in the First Schedule are hereby declared preserved areas (by-law 3). No person shall cultivate, cut any grass, or graze animals in any preserved area (by-law 4). The Council shall, after consultation with the Agricultural Officer, prescribe the type of agricultural or animal husbandry, the type of crops that may be planted and the steps taken to prevent soil erosion and to conserve water in a prescribed area (by-law 5).

    This Act establishes a procedure for the preparation of a priority list of coastal wetlands restoration projects in Louisiana to provide for the long-term conservation of wetlands and dependent fish and wildlife populations. This priority list will be submitted annually to Congress. The Louisiana Coastal Wetlands Conservation and Restoration Task Force will prepare a restoration plan to identify coastal wetlands restoration projects. The Act specifies the plan's elements, modification, submission to Congress and evaluation for effectiveness.
