    This Act lays down basic provisions on land tenure, both urban and rural. land can be owned only by Lithuanian citizens, or by the State (art. 3). Private ownership of land conveys certain standard rights and privileges, amounting to the free and unimpeded enjoyment and disposition of the owner's property (art. 7). Usufructury rights accrue to the leaseholders of private and State-owned land (art. 8).

    This Agreement consists of 14 articles and it shall be subject to the provisions of Reciprocal Encouragement and Protection of Investment between the two Parts (art. 1). The Government of Sudan shall grant to the Government of Syria a land for exploitation located in Abu Quta-Province Alhsahisa situated in the State of Aljazeera with an area of 30,000 Faddan without any restriction rights (art. 2). The exploitation of the aforementioned land shall be valid for 50 years (art. 3).

    This Act provides rules for the registration of rights in land in the Seychelles. There shall be a Land Registry and an (appointed) Land Registrar. The Act also concerns the effect of registration, conversion of qualified title into absolute title, co-ownership and partition of land, registration of rights held by foreigners and the form of transfer of various rights in lands. The provisions of this Act shall apply to usufructuary interests in the same manner as they apply to leases.

    Ghana

    The Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG), with support from the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), performed the Ghana Land Tenure Baseline Survey, the first of its kind survey of tenure rights among cocoa farmers in Ghana. CRIG surveyed almost 1,800 cocoa farmers operating 3,900 cocoa plots regarding various land tenure issues within customary sharecropping arrangements and on owner-managed land. This report describes the findings from the Survey.
