The council of a county may investigate, where they consider it expedient to do so, any proposals for coast protection works within the county under section 2.

The amendments made concern the payment of compensation for the acquisition of land by the Minister for purposes of forestry.
An Act to make provisions for various matters relating to land, including land registration, purchase of land and ownership of land, land bonds, land tenure, for powers of the Land Commission in respect of land, etc. Save and except purchase agreements between the Land Commission and purchasers from them no purchase agreement between landlord and tenant for the sale of a holding under the Land Purchase Acts shall after the passing of this Act be lodged with the Land Commission (sect. 18).
This Act provides for a comprehensive reform and modernization of land law and conveyancing law. It, among other things, provides for a simplification of the conveyancing process, especially the procedures involved and the taking of security over land; facilitates extension of the registration of title system with a view to promoting its use; and facilitates the introduction of an electronic conveyancing system.

The Environmental Protection Agency shall be the competent authority for the purposes of the Directive on integrated pollution prevention and control here implemented. As competent authority for the purposes of the Directive, the Agency shall, amongst other things, keep itself informed of developments in best available techniques.
