    This Order allows for the creation of a nationally significant infrastructure project and associated development described in Schedule 1 and a corresponding marine habitat. There shall be put in place for the affected coastal area a compensation environmental management and monitoring plan and other environmental compensatory measures.

    These Regulations relate to agreements between access authorities and owners and occupiers of land with respect to access land as provided for by the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 and the Marine Coastal Access Act 2009. Access may be required by authorities to carry out works. The Regulations provide for the period within which, and the manner in which, appeals under section 38(1) of the 2000 Act and paragraph 4 of Schedule 20 to the 2009 Act are to be brought, and also make provision for the advertising of those appeals and for the appeal procedures.

    These Regulations set out the written representations procedure that may be used for deciding whether to authorise the compulsory purchase of land in England and Wales. They apply only when the acquiring or confirming authority is a Minister of the Crown. The procedure may only be used for compulsory purchase orders that are subject to the Acquisition of Land Act 1981 and not subject to special parliamentary procedure. When there are objections to authorising compulsory purchase, the written representations procedure may be used as an alternative to holding an inquiry or hearing.

    These Regulations amend the Conservation (Natural Habitats, c.) Regulations 1994 in relation to Great Britain. They make provision for the adaptation of the planning regime introduced under the Planning Act 2008 for nationally significant infrastructure projects, for the protection of any site protected under Council Directive 92/43/EEC. They require development consent granted before the date on which a site becomes a European site to be reviewed and in certain circumstances revoked where the integrity of the site would be adversely affected.

    These Regulations amend the Countryside Stewardship Regulations 2000 which make provision for payments to be made to any person who enters an agreement with the Secretary of State requiring him to carry out an activity which is conducive to a specified purpose on land in which he has an interest. The Regulations amend the maximum rates in respect of certain payments listed in Parts I, II and III of the Schedule to the principal Regulations. Payments in respect of the preparation of whole-farm environmental audits are introduced.

    These Regulations, make provision supplementing Council Regulation (EC) No. 2078/92, as amended by Commission Regulation (EC) No. 2772/95 which was in turn amended by Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1962/96 on agricultural methods compatible with the requirements of the protection of the environment and the maintenance of the countryside.
