    This Act concerns permission of the Minister to any residents to build a wharf or abutment, from the private land of such person or persons which may abut on to the port or harbour of the district in which the application is made, into such port or harbour. A plan for an abutment or wharf shall be submitted to the Minister. The Minister may order inspections and issue a notice if an abutment or wharf is not in a proper condition or is likely to impede or interfere with the navigation of the port or harbour.

    This Act provides for administration of land and other property of deceased persons. The Act consists of 37 sections divided into 5 Parts: Preliminary (I); Devolution of Real Estate (II); Executors and Administrators (III); Administration of Assets (IV); General (V).Real estate to which a deceased person was entitled for an interest not ceasing on his death, shall, on his death and notwithstanding any testamentary disposition thereof, devolve on the personal representative of the deceased.

    This Act concerns a system of geospatial data collection and storage for the Bahamas. It establishes the Bahamas National Geographic Information Systems Centre, the Geospatial Advisory Council and the Bahamas Spatial Data Infrastructure Program. The Centre shall, among other things, serve as the Government's technical focal point for the collection and management of geospatial data on The Bahamas. It shall also ensure that the Bahamas Spatial Data Infrastructure (BSDI) assists policy-making in relation to policies and activities that may have a direct or indirect impact on the environment.

A body corporate shall be capable of acquiring and holding any real or personal property in joint tenancy in the same manner as if it were an individual provided that the acquisition and holding of property by a body corporate in joint tenancy shall be subject to the like conditions and restrictions as attach to the acquisition and holding of property by a body corporate in severalty.

    This Act grants the power to the Minister responsible for ports and harbours to carry out construction of coast protection works as he/she deems urgently necessary and to apportion costs of such works on the owners of any land who benefit from such works. The owners will contribute in the degree that they benefit from the work. Various rules are provided for the apportionment of costs and the payment of compensation.

    This Act makes provision for the registration of commoners, i.e. persons that hold a right in non-partitioned land together with at least other twenty people and other aspects of organization of commoners and protection of their rights.A register of commoners shall be formed and kept in each town or settlement in which any land is held in common. Commoners shall meet in accordance with this Act and may make rules for specified purposes regarding the use of the common land, the supply of fresh water and the protection of produce.
