    Section 3 of the present Regulation establishes the land uses which are permitted in an agricultural land reserve unless otherwise prohibited by a local government bylaw or, for lands located in an agricultural land reserve that are treaty settlement lands, by a law of the applicable treaty first nation government.

    The present Regulation is made under the Land Title Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to the subdivision of land. Section 1 establishes that the approving officer may refuse to approve the subdivision plan, if he considers that it does not provide access to the land in the subdivision, or lands dependent upon the subdivided property, or land dependent upon the subdivided property for its sole access by means of an adequate road allowance for a frontage road, service road or local street. The text consists of 2 sections.

    The present Code is made under the Environmental Management Act and the Waste Discharge Regulation. In particular, the Code provides for the protection of land and water. Section 2 establishes that this Code applies to a person who conducts a wood processing industry and who operates, or proposes to operate, a landfill facility solely for the disposal of waste incidental to the wood processing operations.

    The present Code of practice provides for the beneficial use of specified industrial by-products on land. Moreover, the Code provides consistent requirements across the province and protects the quality of soil as well as the surface and groundwater on sites where the by-products are applied. As of September 1, 2007 a discharger must complete and submit a notification form at least 30 days prior to a proposed soil amendment application greater than 5m3.
