    The Act establishes the Brisbane Forest Park and provides for its management. It is divided in 7 Parts (91 sections). Part 2 specifies which land can become part of the park and the effects on proprietors’ rights of land’s inclusion in the park (sect. 11). Part 3 constitutes the Brisbane Forest Park Advisory Planning Board and specifies its composition, operation, functions and powers. Part 4 establishes the Brisbane Forest Park Administration Authority, a corporation sole constituted by the Minister, responsible for the management of the park.

    This Act concerns Aboriginal communities that live in Queensland and provides them support, administrative services and assistance. It consists of 187 sections and is divided into 15 Parts. Part 2 concerns the administration of the Act, Part 3 describes the powers of intervention of the State in matters related to Aboriginal matters. Part 4 provides for the incorporation of Aboriginal councils and regulates their operation. Part 8 is dedicated to the Aboriginal Coordinating Council and Part 9 to the Aboriginal Industries Board.

    The Act provides for the management of the territory of Torres Strait and for the support to communities residing in the area; it consists of 85 sections divided into 11 Parts. The chief executive is the officer responsible for the administration of the Act. Part 3 provides for the creation of island councils, which are body corporate responsible for the management of council areas. Their operation, functions and powers are regulated under the Act.

    This regulation implements the Community Services (Torres Strait) Act 1984. It consists of 68 sections and is divided into 12 Parts. Part 2 is dedicated to the Island councils, their composition and their membership, Part 3 to the chairpersons of Island councils and Part 4 to the election of Island councils. Part 5 concerns councils’ meetings, Part 8 regulates Island courts and Part 9 the Island Coordinating Council. The regulation is completed by five schedules that provide further for the operation of the bodies regulated in the text.

    The Act, consisting of 10 sections, approves and gives effect to an agreement the State, the Brisbane City Council and the Council of the Shire of Murilla relating to the establishment and operation of a landfill. It authorizes the Landfill Management Committee, constructed under the agreement, to pass by-laws (sect. 7) for the purpose of carrying out its functions. The Act is completed by one Schedule.

    These by-laws provide for the management of the landfill created by an agreement among the State, the Brisbane City Council and the Council of the Shire of Murilla. Under these by-laws, access to the site (sect. 5), dumping (sect. 6) and the lighting of fires (sect. 7) are subject to authorization.
