Le dialogue multi acteurs constitue le principal enjeu pour l’amélioration de la gouvernance foncière de façon générale. Au Mali, les espaces de dialogue multi acteurs ont soutenu les réformes des régimes fonciers en garantissant l’inclusion et la participation d’une grande diversité d’acteurs.
La responsabilisation des communautés locales dans la gestion du foncier agricole, gage de paix et de cohésion sociale, est nécessaire. On observe une plus grande implication des acteurs locaux dans la gestion durable des conflits fonciers et la protection des droits coutumiers à la suite de la judiciarisation récurrente des litiges fonciers agricoles. On voit maintenant une valorisation des us et coutumes dans le processus de gestion locale durable du foncier.
This report highlights some of the human rights challenges which the Indigenous peoples in Tanzania, particularly Maasai pastoralists, are facing. It also proposes some areas of improvement in order to make Tanzania a better place for everyone, including indigenous pastoralists. It should be noted that Tanzania has more than 120 different ethnic groups, which are Bantu-speaking, Nilo-hamitic (including the Maasai) and Cushitic.
Inequities in land ownership and access are possibly one of the most common injustices that have persisted in Uganda since the pre-colonial times. Unfair land use policies and practices and the lack of security of tenure must be immediately addressed if Uganda is to achieve its development goals under the National Development Plan II and most of the Sustainable Development Goals.

This study provides a case study of the mango value chain in Kenya and seeks to better understand key linkages between land rights and project outcomes. This paper explores the concept of benefit sharing in natural resources exploitation in Kenya. The author argues that benefit sharing should be interpreted in its various forms, namely monetary and non-monetary since a narrower conception is likely to create confusion, potential conflict between investors and local communities as well as diminished hopes of improving the livelihoods of communities.
Between 2004 and 2006, a massive programme of evictions has been carried out in forest areas of Kenya. Houses, schools and health centres have been destroyed, and many have been rendered homeless. Estimates indicate that in six forests alone, more than a hundred thousand persons were forcibly evicted between July 2004 and June 2006. Evictions in a number of forest areas are reportedly continuing and humanitarian groups are expressing growing concerns about the ongoing increase in internally displaced persons from forest areas in Kenya.
