    The Act lays down provisions concerning regional planning activities as regards soil protection, control of land use and interventions for the conservation and transformation of soil. The provisions cover both agricultural and urban land. As regards agricultural land, the aims pursued are the safeguarding and improvement of the natural heritage as well as the rational and sustainable exploitation of natural resources. The Regions shall be responsible for planning in conjunction with the Communes and Mountain Communities.

    The Lazio Region regulates the rearrangement and restructuring of administrative functions relative to soil conservation for the following purposes: a) creation of a coordinated system for soil protection; b) maintenance of quality features of water resources; c) protection and rational use of water resources; d) protection of aquatic ecosystems, taking into particular account zones of naturalistic and environmental interest.

    All regional interventions aimed at soil conservation, protection of environmental balance and nature preservation shall be implemented in conformity with the general plan referred to in article 1 of Regional Act No. 36 of 16 August 1974. The plan shall be composed of basin plans corresponding to every single hydrographic unit of the regional territory.

    This Regional Act lays down rules governing the tenure and management of the Regole d’Ampezzo, which are those agro-forest and pasture lands which pertain to the territories of the Veneto Region specified in article 2. The Act also defines the content of the “laudi”, which are the provisions that regulate the acquisition and tenure of the “Regole”.

    This Regional Act sets out the legislative framework for the integral bonification of land with a view to ensuring land conservation, water safety, environmental protection and preservation of rural areas. It provides for the rearrangement of bonification consortia operating in the regional territory and further provides for the adoption of plans in the different districts.

    The Campania Region promotes land reclamation interventions, which are considered to be of public interest since they help preserve the territory and, particularly, rural environments, and enable the rational utilization of water resources intended for agricultural uses. To these ends, the present Regional Act provides for the rearrangement of Land Reclamation Consortia and makes rules governing their functions and tasks, in compliance with the general principles laid down at national level in Act No. 183 of 1989 as well as in Act No. 36 of 1994.

    The present Regional Act lays down provisions in matter of abandoned lands, uncultivated lands and lands which are insufficiently cultivated, so as to ensure the rational exploitation of agricultural lands falling within the Emilia Romagna Region and encourage the general agricultural development. First of all, articles 2 and 3 define the elements and criteria to be taken into account to determine the abandoned or uncultivated lands to which the present Act shall apply. The Provinces are in charge of the census and classification of lands.

    The Regional Act lays down particular provisions for implementing Act No. 440 of 1978 in matter of reallotment of abandoned and uncultivated lands, with a view to achieving the full and proper use of agricultural lands. The Regional Act consists of fourteen articles. Article 2 sets out the criteria intended to determine lands insufficiently cultivated falling within the regional territory. The Regional Council shall establish which zones are to be considered abandoned or uncultivated, taking into account the safeguarding of hydrogelogical balances and environmental protection requirements.

    The Regional Counsel for Agriculture and Forestry shall be in charge of the drafting of a general plan concerning the interventions to be undertaken in the field of soil conservation, protection of the environmental balance in forests as well as nature preservation. The Act describes the approval procedure, which involves Mountain Communities. Particular provisions deal with expropriation of lands to be included in the forest domain and hence subjected to the interventions envisaged in the plan.
