    This Order prescribes forms for notices required to implement the conversion of ultra-long leases to ownership under the Long Leases (Scotland) Act 2012. They concern, among other things: conversion of reserved sporting rights and conversion of qualifying condition into a climate change burden or a conservation burden.

    These Regulations consolidate and revoke the Land Registration Rules 1972. They define the contents of registers in which land title rights shall be registered. The registers shall consist of information required by the Registration of Deeds and Title Acts 1964 and 2006 and these Rules to be recorded in respect of each ownership registered under those Acts. They also, among other things, provide in respect of registry offices, procedures of registration, effect of registration, transmission on death, dealings with registered property and other matters regarding rights affecting land.

    These Regulations, which apply to Great Britain, make provision relating to the requirement to disclose information about a green deal plan where a green deal property is being sold or let out. Section 12(2) of the Energy Act 2011 requires a seller, prospective landlord or licensor to disclose information about a green deal plan by providing the document produced or updated under section 8(4) to a prospective buyer, tenant or licensee of a green deal property at a specified time.

    These Regulations make provision with respect to the procedure to be followed in conducting a review of a flexible tenancy. Such tenancy may be offered by the landlord to a prospective tenant. They also provide with respect to reviews upon application of a tenant following a decisions of the landlord not to grant another tenancy on the coming to an end of a flexible tenancy.

    These Regulations prescribe bodies for consultation and submission of observations to the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government in respect of an application for a foreshore lease, licence or permission as may be issued under the Foreshore Act. They also prescribe a statutory time limit for such consultations.

    This Order sets out certain obligations of landlords and tenants in their relationship regarding private tenancies. It also empowers district councils to issue notices of unfitness and notices of disrepair in respect of dwelling-houses let under private tenancies and to issue certificates of fitness to be issued in respect of certain dwelling-houses. Rent officers or a rent assessment committee may determine a rent limit in respect of tenancies which are subject to control.

    These Rules amend the Land Registration Rules 2003 (the principal rules) with respect to registration of relevant lease clauses. "Relevant lease" means: (a) a prescribed clauses lease as defined in rule 58A(4), or (b) any other lease which complies with the requirements as to form and content set out in rule 58A(1) and which either is required to be completed by registration under section 27(2)(b) of the Act or is the subject of an application for first registration of the title to it.

    These Rules provide for applications to the Registrar under the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002, the form of the documentation which must accompany any application and the circumstances in which an application may be cancelled by the Registrar. Schedule 1 to these rules contains the various forms prescribed by them. Schedule 2 prescribes the wording of the restrictions prescribed by the rules.

Part I of these Regulations contains general provisions. Part II contains provisions about the registration of a freehold estate in land as a freehold estate in commonhold land.
