This Resolution of the Council of Ministers approves the Management Plan of the Hydrographical Basin of Douro River (PGBH). It represents a planning instrument aiming at applying an integrated approach for management, protection and environmental social and economic valorisation of the waters within the related hydrographical basins guaranteeing the application of the EU Parliament and Council Directive No. 2000/60/CE, establishing a community framework for the water policy sector, so called Directive-Framework for Water (DQA).

This Presidential Decree, consisting of 2 Chapters, regulates the expropriation regime of public coastal lands designated to infrastructures and support equipments for beach facilities on the entire coastal area up to the maritime zone (excluding harbours and military areas) and the land protection area with a maximum width of 500 metres, transferring the competencies to the private domain of the respective Provincial Governments.

This Presidential Decree, consisting of 2 Chapters, regulates spatial planning for public lands within the coastal area of the Province of Luanda transferring them to the private sector, according to Law No. 9/98. In particular, it regulates the public coastal lands and public territories within the maritime areas destined to the settlement of infrastructures and support equipments, not only limited for beach facilities, but also for the entire marine coastal zones within the Province of Luanda.

This Resolution approves the Regional Scheme for Land use Planning of the Island of S.Nicolau. This Scheme consists of 7 Chapters, 2 Maps and 2 Annexes, specifying land uses, territorial definition and other legal matters related to any areas for the following land use purposes: agricultural, forestry, protection, infrastructures, etc. Chapter 4 regulates infrastructures and equipments. Chapter 5 estabishes terms and conditions for natural heritage and protected area conservation.
