    The present Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of eight paragraphs and five Annexes, establishes: (1) conditions of the use of urban sewage sediments for the following purposes: agriculture including production of feedstuffs, reclamation of land, adaptation of land to specific needs, cultivation of plants for the production of compost, cultivation of plants not intended for consumption or production of feedstuffs; (2) scope, frequency and referential methods of examinations of urban sewage sediments and lands where sediments are applied.

    This Act lays down principles of protection of agricultural and forest land, recultivation and improvement of land quality. Agricultural lands are protected by: limitation of their allocation for other purposes; prevention from degradation and devastation; recultivation; and preservation of peat areas and natural water reservoirs. The list of such substances is defined in Annex 11.
