A singular and modest activist action, a temporary park created in San Francisco, grew into the global urban Park(ing) Day (PD) phenomenon. This tactical urbanism event not only expanded to be annually celebrated in thousands of parking lots all over the world but became an inspiration for urban planning and policy changes. The permanent rendition of Park(ing) Day, parklets, resulted from the movement but did not stop the spread of PD itself.
One of local government authorities is the implementation of land use planning. Due to implementation land use planning, controlling is needed as effort for the implementation is appropriate with the planning. According to Spatial Planning Act No.26/2007, land use control instruments are zoning regulation, permit, incentive and disincentive, and sanction. In Indonesia, zoning regulation is new instrument and only a few of city that have made and uses zoning regulation as land use control instrument.
Climate change affects poor and marginalized communities first and hardest. Land, fisheries, forests and other natural resources provide a basis for livelihoods and social, cultural and religious practices. However, most people in rural areas in developing countries do not have any form of documentation to protect their land and natural resources rights, which puts their livelihoods and consequently their food and nutrition security are at risk. Secure tenure rights promote responsible investment in agriculture that could increase productivity and enhance food security and nutrition.
The main purposes of this research are to identify and analyse the role of women and men in the forestry sector in Kosovo, and women’s and men’s ownership and use of forests. The report also aims to analyse the gender issues within the institutional policy and legal framework that governs forest management, in order to provide recommendations on how to mainstream gender in forest policies in Kosovo more effectively.
