This Act makes provision for the management and conservation of forest and wildlife resources in Montserrat. It establishes the Forestry, Wildlife, National Parks and Protected Areas Board and the Environmental Fund. The Board shall, among other things, advise the Minister and review and revise the national forest, wildlife and national parks plan.
This Act provides rules relative to the exploration for and the exploitation of oil resources in Uganda. The Act also imposes certain duties on licence holders with respect to the protection of the environment and in case of emergencies. No person shall carry on any exploration or development operations on petroleum in or upon any land in Uganda except under, and in accordance with, a licence issued under this Act. The Government may enter into an agreement for the grant of a licence.
This Act provides for the preservation of ancient and historical monuments and archaeological sites and remains of national importance and for the regulation of archaeological activities in India.The Central Government will have the power to declare ancient monuments or archaeological sites, etc. to be of national importance. This Implementing Regulation is composed of 32 articles. Article 1 gives terms and definitions. Article 2 charges the Committee of Industrial Zones Affairs to propose and define areas and sites for the establishment of industries. This Order establishes that state registration of the plots of forest land within state forest fund shall be carried out by state executive bodies responsible for keeping state forest register. State registration shall be carried out in the following cases: (a) allotment of the plots of forest land within state forest fund; and (b) renewal of lease contracts for the plots of forest land and renewal of free of charge forest management contracts in case of conformation thereof to the Forest Code.
This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities for expropriating (redeeming) land to create or enlarge protected areas and for leasing land in protected areas for research, tourism or recreational purposes. This Act makes provision for various matters relating to the activity of exploration and exploitation of petroleum resources in Botswana including licensing, control, surface rights, survey of wells, protection of the environment and compulsory acquisition of land.The Act sets out criteria and conditions for the granting of an exploration or a development licence. The Minister may enter into an agreement with a (potential) licence holder. A registered holder of an exploration licence shall notify the Minister on the discovery of petroleum in an exploration area.
