    This Act regulates expropriation procedure in order to enforce the agricultural reform. It consists of 25 articles establishing the legal procedures for land expropriation purposes in compliance with the agricultural reform. It specifies requirements to be satisfied in order to perform the above-mentioned administrative and legal proceedings.

    This Act regulates rural land property in compliance with Agicultural Reform. It consists of 28 articles establishing the requirements to be satisfied by rural lands in order to be exploited or not, according to chapter III, title VII, of the Federal Constitution. It also defines different use of 'rural lands' for activity concerning agriculture, forestry, sylvo-pastoralism, stockbreeding, etc. and prohibits land exploitation when they are protected areas.

    This Act creates the Fund for Lands and Agricultural Reform - 'Banco da Terra' aimed to give financial assistance in order to enforce rural programmes. It consists of 14 articles specifying the requirements to be satisfied in order to obtain these incentives for agricultural development. Beneficiaries of this financial assistance programme are: farmers non-owners (working under concession, leasing, etc. for more than 5 years in agro-zootechnics); owners of agricultural lands for family sustenance (according to article 4 of Law No. 4.504 of 30 November 1964).
