LSE is one of the world’s leading social science universities. We have committed to a strategy that will build on our strengths, address challenges and maintain our worldwide reputation for excellence.

We have already achieved many of the goals set out in our 2014 review, including:

KALRO is a corporate body created under the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Act of 2013 to establish suitable legal and institutional framework for coordination of agricultural research in Kenya with the following goals:

• Promote, streamline, co-ordinate and regulate research in crops, livestock, genetic resources and biotechnology in Kenya.

• Expedite equitable access to research information, resources and technology and promote the application of research findings and technology in the field of agriculture.

GROOTS Kenya is a network of women self-help groups and community organizations in Kenya. It formed as a response to inadequate visibility of grassroots women in development and decision-making forums that directly impact them and their communities. GROOTS Kenya bridges this gap through initiatives that are community-centered and women-led.

TMP Systems is a boutique consultancy based in the United Kingdom, with staff in the United States and the Philippines. Our work spans asset management, commercial investment systems design in carbon, energy and land use and environmental, social and governance diligence.

Le Centre regroupe les chercheurs de l’Institut de politique et de gestion du développement (IOB) qui orientent tout ou une grande partie de leur recherche sur la région des grands lacs. Le Centre privilégie l’étude de développements contemporains dans les domaines politique, économique et social. Il publie chaque année un Annuaire.  La documentation extensive du Centre est incorporée dans la bibliothèque de l’IOB.

Ogiek Peoples’ Development Program (OPDP) is a Kenyan based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 1999 and registered by the Kenyan Government in 2001. It was formed by the typical Ogiek elders, opinion leaders, and professionals after long historical injustices that deprived Ogiek community of their rights as Kenyan citizens.

This is the overarching term for any Kenyan governmental agency, organ, or branch.

The Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) is an intergovernmental partnership of 10 Nile Basin countries, namely Burundi, DR Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, The Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Eritrea participates as an observer.

For the first time in the Basin's history, an all-inclusive basin-wide institution was established, on 22nd February, 1999, to provide a forum for consultation and coordination among the Basin States for the sustainable management and development of the shared Nile Basin water and related resources for win-win benefits.
