Founded in 1979, ANGOC is a regional association of 20 national and regional networks of non-government organizations (NGO) in Asia actively engaged in food security, agrarian reform, sustainable agriculture, participatory governance and rural development.

Don Marquez has been the Executive Director of the Asian NGO Coalition for Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (ANGOC) since 2002. ANGOC is a regional network of NGOs working on rural development in 9 Asian countries and with an effective membership of around 3,000 NGOs in the region. ANGOC has long espoused sustainable agriculture and the rights of smallholder farmers to achieve poverty reduction and sustainability. ANGOC initially served as secretariat of the NGO Association for Agricultural Research in Asia and the Pacific (NAARAP). Currently, it is the convenor of the Asian Alliance against Hunger and Malnutrition (AAHM Asia) as part of the global AAHM led by FAO.
