Few development challenges in Africa are as pressing and controversial as land ownership and its persistent gap between rich and poor communities.

The government of Uganda, with help from its development partners, is designing and implementing policies and strategies to address poverty, land degradation, and declining agricultural productivity.

This study was conducted with the main objective of determining the linkages between poverty and land management practices in Uganda.
