These Rules concern the registration of any assignment of a lease issued under the Government Lands Act where the premium reserved by such lease is payable to the Government by instalments. The Registrar shall not register such lease unless and until the head lease thereof is produced duly endorsed by the Commissioner of Lands, as provided for in subsection (4) of section 24 of the Act.

This Regulation applies to the registration of the title to every parcel of land in the Province, including land owned by the Crown, unless the parcel of land is excepted from the operation of the Land Titles Act. It provides for requirements, fees and other matters related to registration.

These Regulations prescribe the criteria for assessing tariffs and fees prescribed under the Land Titles Act. The Regulations also set the values of the fees in the attached schedule.

This Decree amends the Native Lands Act by replacing in the Act and all subsidiary legislation made under the Act the word "native" with the word "i Taukei". It also inserts a new section (1A), which provides that all written laws (of Fiji) are to be changed by deleting all references to "native" and inserting therefor the word "i Taukei".
