The scope of this Act is to regulate reindeer breeding activities and the use of reindeer pastures. Also the counting of reindeer and marking of animals is provided for (Chapters 3 and 4). Chapter 6 concerns the compensation of damages to forests and cultivation. Chapter 7 provides for the protection of reindeers. Various measures placing restrictions on reindeer breeding may be decided upon by the Government pursuant to section 2 of the Act relative to Protection Forests (No. 196/22).

Act regulating property rights in relation with projects in watercourses (No. 451 of 1988).

The Act provides for the procedures of the application for rights relative to constructions in watercourses or related to watercourses as foreseen in the Water Act (sect. 1). This Act regulates the exchange of real property, the transfer or the redistribution of property, or the transfer of servitude. The owner of the real property may apply for the redistribution of land which results desirable following the carrying out of a water project which may include drainage projects. Sections 3 to 9 concern the redistribution of land or water areas.
